In an article in Glamour Magazine hot Hollywood shoe designer Brian Atwood gives tips on HOW TO LOOK SEXIER IN YOUR HEELS. In case you don’t know Brian Atwood, his designs have graced the feet of both Gwyneth Paltrow and host Anne Hathaway at this years Academy Awards. Blake Lively, Zoe Saldana and Victoria Beckham are also fans of his work.
I love his tip IGNORE THE RULES…about “appropriate” daytime footwear. “I love the frivolousness of evening shoes for day. Why wait to put on pretty shoes?”
I totally agree, it is just as easy to put on a strappy pair of pumps with skinny jeans as it is flats. Not only will you look more fashionable and put together but you will also walk with more confidence. It takes a certain attitude to wear sexy shoes in the day, be prepared for the extra attention.
With the holidays right around the corner it is easier than ever to pull off this look. Something with a little sparkle, rich color or in patent leather would be amazing at night or during the day. Paired with an uncomplicated outfit an amazing shoe would be the perfect compliment.

It’s that time again. We’ve added some really nice women’s shoes to our already impressive selection. Specifically, we’ve added several styles of booties and high heels for the winter and holiday seasons. So without further ado, have a look at the new selection!
With the holidays right around the corner and the weekend even closer it is time to look at some going out styles that are on trend. Tory Burch “Sheila” leather and suede cage heel is a hot choice that definitely makes a statement, at $425. A shoe like this could be paired with a monochromatic outfit and still stand out. A knock off style that I found is totally wearable and at a budget friendly price. This cage style in taupe when paired with something sequin or glittery could make a perfect going out choice but also be worn with trousers and a silk blouse for a day time event.
All I need to say for this next trend is booties, so hot right now in wedges, stilettos, or chunky heels. I am loving a super feminine dress paired with a modern bootie to give it an edge. The suede and leather high heeled stiletto booties in magenta hit two trends in one with the color blocking of the pink and black leather.
Getting dressed for the office doesn’t mean leaving your personal style behind. You can project a professional and competent image without fading into the background. One great way to liven up a conservative outfit is with a classy, yet stylish, pair of shoes. Of course a pump is a great choice for professional attire. To spice it up make sure they are done in patent leather, a subtle animal print, texture or color. As long as toes are covered and the look isn’t too sexy, feel free to experiment a little as the look should be timeless with a kick.
Booties are back – updated with laces and stacked heels! This style easily compliments fall’s menswear and military trends. Burberry paired patent leather with a platform wedge. Chloe’s interpretation showcased a stacked heel with calfskin and a knit inset. But our favorite are the laced up leather boots by Tory Burch, a far cry from her resort wear roots. This style is edgy yet very wearable. The price on these is $595. For a budget friendly option, check out our laced up ankle high heeled boots. The look is almost identical – from the double buckle closure to the stacked heel. If you’re adventurous pair these with leather leggings. For a more casual look, pair with opaque black tights. Either look can be topped off with a tunic. Now get out there and show ‘em off!
This season, the retro print embarks on a sophisticated revival. Polka dots and other lady-like influences from Marc Jacobs to Marni dots were all the rage on fall runways. Check out the polka dot and strap pumps.
Salvador Ferragamo showcased a look back at Hollywood for his fall line. Creative director Massimiliano Giornetti reinvented the Marilyn Monroe pump Ferragamo designed in the ‘50’s. The look is powerful yet elegant and timeless. Christian Dior and hatmaker Mitch Bricard are famously known for sporting chic leopard prints. This has shown up in the company’s fall beauty line. If you’re not daring enough to incorporate this style into a make-up look or a coat then go for a feminine peep toe pump.
